Dual lane condition in the ECI
The ETBF Presidium at its recent meeting decided to use
the dual lane condition concept (short oil and long oil) during
the ECI 2005.
This means that the qualification will consist of 4 squads
of 6 games each played on two lane conditions, i.e. the 1st
squad on short oil; the 2nd squad on long oil; the 3rd squad
on short oil; and the 4th squad on long oil. In the Top 8
Single Elimination the top seed of each match chooses which
condition to start on. For example if the choice is to start
on short oil and the match goes over 3 games, then the bowlers
play on short oil - long oil - short oil.
